The Blue Moon Gathering: An Evening of Ritual, Reflection & Art
The Blue Moon Gathering: An Evening of Ritual Reflection and Art
Do you remember when you felt the pull of magic?
Have you ever asked for a sign?
Journaled your dreams and desires?
Celebrated yourself at the completion of a long season of work, healing, or becoming?
It’s time to gather beneath the glow of the rising Blue Moon.
Join me on Sunday, May 31st as I open the doors to something I haven’t offered in quite some time, but one that is a returning.
Part ritual.
Part creative reflection.
Part intimate evening shared with kindred spirits drawn together by intuition, curiosity, and the desire to feel a little more alive.
There will be journaling. There will be reflection. There will be space to listen inward again. And at the end of the evening, one participant will receive the original painting Joy in Motion — a piece created during my Mending, In Practice collection and carrying the energy of movement, vitality, and return. If you're feeling the pull, then head your knowing.
About the Painting
Joy in Motion
16 × 16
Abstract Acrylic on Canvas
Collection: Mending, In Practice
Created outdoors on a warm spring afternoon, this piece carries the energy of movement, color, and return. Layered over an earlier painting, traces of what came before remain beneath the surface—held, not hidden. Loose passages of violet, magenta, fern green, and Carolina blue create the foundation, while gestures of gold and silver move across the canvas like light in motion.
If Renewal marks the return of vitality, Joy in Motion captures what follows—the simple momentum of being alive again.

A Note
Once in a while, I do things differently. This is one of those times. This is not something I do often.
It felt right for this piece. It felt right for this moment. So I’m following that.
It felt right to open this during a Blue Moon. Maybe I’ll do it again, maybe I won’t Maybe I’ll do it every once in a blue moon.

The Summer Threshold Retreat: A Seasonal Solstice Experience for Creativity, Reflection, and Renewal
The Summer Threshold Retreat: A Seasonal Solstice Experience for Creativity, Reflection, and Renewal
Saturday June 20th | 10:00am–5:00pm
Greensboro, North Carolina
Limited to 6 Women | $666
There are seasons in life when we can feel ourselves standing at the edge of something new.
A knowing that something within us is asking for more space, more honesty, more creativity, more care.
Many women are carrying enormous amounts right now:
burnout,
grief,
decision fatigue,
relationship shifts,
children growing up and needing us differently,
questions about identity, purpose, creativity, and what comes next.
The Summer Threshold Retreat was created as a place to pause inside of all of that.
Held in my personal home in Greensboro, North Carolina (the Buddha Bungalow), this intimate seasonal retreat experience is designed for women craving beauty, spaciousness, reflection, creativity, meaningful conversation, and nervous system restoration.
Together we’ll spend the day journaling, moving, painting, walking, sharing meals, resting, reflecting, and reconnecting to ourselves in the company of other women doing the same.
This is a day devoted to creating enough spaciousness to hear yourself again.
Throughout our time together we’ll explore themes of:
– creativity and intuition
– seasonal reflection
– rest and restoration
– ritual and intentional living
– expansion and renewal
– community and meaningful connection
The Retreat Day Includes:
– Guided journaling and intention setting
– Gentle yoga on the back deck (or living room and dining room if it rains)
– A reflective neighborhood walk
– Watercolor painting
– Art journaling and creative exploration
– Seasonal lunch, drinks, and snacks
– Closing reflection circle
Watercolor supplies are included, though you are welcome to bring favorite materials of your own.
Please bring:
– A journal large enough for writing and art journaling
– Comfortable walking shoes
– Clothing you can comfortably move and create in
– Old magazines (2-3), things collected for art journaling
Included in Your Experience
Opening Solstice Happy Hour (Zoom)
Thursday June 4th | 5:30–6:30pm EST
Before the retreat day, we’ll gather together over Zoom to:
– get to know one another
– begin opening the container together
– reflect on what the solstice represents
– prepare intentionally for the season ahead
The call will be recorded for those unable to attend live, though live attendance is strongly encouraged.
Private Telegram Group
Open for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the retreat
Inside the group I’ll share weekly:
– guided meditations
– journaling prompts
– reflection practices
– seasonal inspiration and encouragement
Closing Integration Happy Hour (Zoom)
Thursday August 6th | 5:30–6:30pm EST
A few weeks after our retreat day, we’ll gather again to reflect on what unfolded through our experience together and how it continued to ripple into daily life.
Together we’ll explore:
– what shifted
– what surprised us
– what we want to continue tending
– what this season is asking of us moving forward
The call will be recorded for those unable to attend live, though live attendance is strongly encouraged.
Because this retreat is intentionally limited to six women and held in my personal home, the experience is deeply intimate by design.
I only offer gatherings like this occasionally.
If you are craving a day — and a season — that feels more intentional, restorative, creative, and deeply human…
you are warmly invited.
Only 6 spots available.

Expressive Wisdom Workshop
Overcome fears and doubts, and connect to your inner wisdom in a daylong intimate painting retreat with Alisha.
Does the idea of painting on a big canvas simultaneously excite you and terrify you at the same time?
Through the act of painting, you are forced to confront various fears that represent fears and blocks that keep us out of action or staying stuck in our everyday life, such as:
Fear of the blank page: The initial intimidation of facing an empty canvas and not knowing where to begin. Where in life are perfectionism and fear of failure holding you back?
Fear of wasting paint: Concerns about using materials inefficiently or not achieving the desired outcome. Where in your life do you operate from a place of lack?
Fear of painting over something you like: Hesitation to make important changes or corrections to the artwork, even if it may improve the overall piece. Where in your life do you experience a lack of faith and trust in yourself?
Fear of judgment: Worries about how others will perceive the finished artwork and the fear of criticism or rejection. How often does the feeling of unworthiness, and imposter complex show up for you? Do you ever find yourself asking the question, "just who do you think you are"?
Fear of getting messy or letting your painting look messy: Afraid of embracing the messiness of the creative process, fearing that imperfections in the artwork might reflect inadequacy or lack of skill. Needing to look good at all costs in your daily life leads you not to get outside of your comfort zone, make changes, or take necessary risks.
Imposter Complex: Doubts about your abilities and feelings of not belonging in the realm of painters. Where in life do you believe you don’t fit in, where do you live in fear that "they" are going to find you out?
By overcoming these fears through the process of painting, you not only create tangible expressions of your intentions but also develop resilience, confidence, and a sense of ownership over your creative journey. Painting becomes a transformative practice that empowers you to embrace your creativity, confront your fears, and assert your presence in the world.
Imagine This…
10 AM: You arrive at my home and grab a cup of tea or coffee, open your goodie bag and we settle in for journaling, and a mini-coaching session.
11 AM: Discussion on what creating is to each of us, is it a conversation with the divine, your wisest self, and spirit if so how do you access that channel when you create?
11:30 AM: Palette color choices and discussion about what makes a good composition, colors selection, and dance party to bring out the right energy for painting
Noon: A walk to talk through the feelings of what’s coming up in the first part of the session
12:30 PM: Second Layer
12:45 PM: Leisurely Nourishing Lunch
1:45 PM: Third Layer and conversation about getting messy and what happens when we “don’t want to mess it up” and perfectionism
3:30 PM: Fourth Layer
3:45 PM Gentle Yoga
4:15 PM Finishing touches on painting
4:45-5:45 PM Insights and takeaways discussion over cocktails/mocktails and appetizers followed by farewells
