How is making and creating helping us through this time?
People are looking for an outlet
In art or yoga you can spend that time on where you are and time just blurs
People yearn for that.
It brings out so much community and feelings, whether you want to deal with them or not.
You can dive into your sketch book and let it out or not. More people are looking for that lately.
The act of creating and step fully into who we are is a profound experience
Allowing what’s going on inside to go out.
What is the difference for creating just for yourself compared to painting for someone else.
I don’t compare when I paint for myself. I compare when I paint for a show.
Goal is to finish a sketch book. I collect them, and don’t finish them.
Goal this year is to fill one up and then share one.
Dealing with rejection; how do you move it out of your mind and body when you feel it in your mind and body
Your art comes from within
It’s tough to compete with some amazing artists
What’s the best that could happen
Keep putting in that work and eventually you’ll be able to jump in and take that risk.
