Once you see what you have been raised not to see, you can’t unsee it and you then have to be willing to do something about it.

Tone policing
Individual, institutional, and structural. It’s problematic to center ourselves.
White women as a group can be oppressive because our whiteness benefits us, if we don’t acknowledge it, then it’s a part of the problem. The systems wants us to not see it
The system isn’t broken it’s working exactly how it was set up to be.
