Wise Women Wednesday: Emily Morris
Q. Who are you? What is your background?
A. My name is Emily Morris and I have an extensive background in exercise science and the body.
Q. What is your work?
A. I own two companies here in Greensboro. The Shoe Bus Mobile Fitness Boutique and BoVega. The Shoe Bus is a mobile gym offering workouts anywhere that include, run coaching, strength sessions and yoga sessions. These workouts can be completed with a corporate, a one on one personal session or a small group. The Shoe Bus can workout up to thirty people at a time! We also have athletic gear and apparel to complete the boutique side of TSB! Lastly I will open BoVega in the end of April 19’! BoVega is a plant based meal prep food line! We will begin with grab and go options at locations such as Deep Roots, Vida Pour tea and Scuppernog’s Books!
Q. What is one project you are excited to be working on right now?
A. BoVega!!!! I am so passionate about food and especially passionate about vegan or plant base food. So, so much good comes from choosing a plant based diet and I am just beyond excited to bring this option to Greensboro!
Q. What is one thing you've done recently that's scared you and took courage, but you're glad you did?
A. Successfully learned to drive the bus. The Bus (or Bella) is a four speed and the stick shift is tall. Not to mention when the bus sits on an incline without the clutch and brake in she will start to roll backwards. It has been a tough time getting brave enough to do that on my own. I am finally brave enough to drive the bus all over!
Q. What is the work you most want to be doing and are you doing it? If not, why not? What's stopping you?
A. I love to coach people, I love to train people and just be with people who are concerned about their fitness. I truly love to educate people on the holistic fitness lifestyle. I am currently training a few folks, but I want more! I believe getting our name out there and trust are the two hurtles stopping forward movement!
Q. What would you tell your high school or college self?
A. Trust the process. Every day since those days had a purpose, a deeper meaning. Everything is a stepping stone. Something I still have to remind myself daily.
Q. What's one piece of advice or motto you love and use in your daily life that you would like to share with my sweet readers?
A. Everything happens for a reason.
Q. What keeps you creating when you don't feel like it?
A. My clients
Q. What's your favorite yoga pose?
A. Airplane
Q. How do you live a life of abundance?
A. I love to have a packed schedule; I am not good at being bored. My productivity levels skyrockets when I wake before the sun and continue through the evening. I also find so much value in friendship and partnerships. Relationships are a basic need in life and so everyone I meet I try hard to bond with over some aspect.
