Planning and research

Bringing all of the aspects of yourself together into your work

Women go into entrepreneurship so that we can bring in all of our core values and bring our whole selves to our work.

Came to a point where She needed a creative boost: Exhibited photography and African drumming, then decided to take time off.

As an entrepreneur we are often scared to take time off.

Your own growth and your own business growth are as important as what you are contributing.

Impact has three elements, income, collective care (how you are contributing to other people’s lives) and legacy.

Collective Care, How Ursula defines it.  “We are all connected.  We are all connected to each other.  With that understanding our own wellbeing is tied up with everyone else’s wellbeing”

There is an expansive view of the world that we are all connected and that when we contribute we are all connected and business is a wonderful way to do that.

No one has impact alone: It’s a communal experience.

Community Matters

In community my ideas are amplified, what one person is thinking is normally on everyone’s minds

If we are going to enact a positive outcome we need one another

Companies that focus on impact do substantially better when there is an impact focus.

Impact focus amplifies your income.  You can’t afford to ignore the impact.

Using travel as a catalyst for what’s next

The deep connection and sense of community you can develop in the travel experience.

Becoming a citizen of the world

You can make deep connections in a short period of time.

Creating space for the right clients.  If you turn down a project something better will come in to take it’s place.

Becoming a citizen of the world.  It’s a very small world

The Leadership role is one that’s important for women to take and embrace.

Power is just the ability to enact change
