"The Gathering" A creative Community You Don't Want to Miss

When I started Yoke and Abundance I didn’t realize that it would become so much more than a business to me and to other women.  What began as simply a personal blog evolved into my coaching business, and then in the span of 3.5 years it’s woven itself into a strong, vibrant, creative community full of women from coast to coast (and sometimes internationally) that I can’t imagine my life without. From our daily writing group, RAW to “The Gathering” we’ve become a coven of women who are able to hold space for each other, lift each other up, and reflect back to one another what we see.

What does it mean to be a Community?  I personally define community as a group of people who gather with something in common, that will support you, encourage you, and be there for you.  The community I want to surround myself with consists of women who are…

  • Creative, makers, or who want more creativity in their lives (to me this is all creativity, but my definition of creativity is broad).

  • Up to something big in the world or want to be up to something big.  They are dreaming of it, planning it, and working towards it.

  • Fellow seekers, those who are committed to their spiritual practice, leaving room for the divine and for magic.  These women are thoughtful, self-aware, and introspective.

  • Entrepreneurs, women who know what it’s like to get after it.  To be committed to something and are building their livelihoods around it.

These bullet points describe the different types of women you’ll find in the Yoke and Abundance Community.  We each might not all have all of those things but we all at least have a lot of one of those bullet points.

In these times of physical social distancing, we are all looking for deep connections that will help us stay grounded and feel less alone in what could be a scary time. Community is fellowship and I’m certain that we could all use more fellowship these days.

If you’re looking for a community of creative women who like to have deep conversations, discuss thought-provoking books, honor the cycles of the moon together through ritual, sit in meditation, maybe do a little yoga, write and connect then you don’t have to look further than The Gathering.  This community of women inspires and strengthens each other.  This community encourages, uplifts, and supports creative endeavors, spiritual seeking, and the pursuit of big goals and dreams.

Most of us can’t safely gather in person right now for art classes, group coaching calls, yoga, or moon gatherings so I’ve created an online platform where women can come together to discuss books, take yoga classes, experience art classes, moon gatherings or even pause together for meditation. We are all of all different ages and we live from coast to coast, many of us are separated by hundreds of miles, but that doesn’t stop us from gathering or supporting one another.

There is power in creativity, power in connection, and power when we bring together the divine feminine in community.  If you are feeling along, if you are craving more community, creativity, and thoughtful experiences then The Gathering is for you.

The Gathering only opens twice a year to new members once in December and once in June.  If you don’t register now it won’t open again until June of 2021.  Registration closes Tomorrow Sunday, December 5th at midnight.

Here’s what one member Martha Hunt Handler has to say about “The Gathering” …

"If there’s one thing that has gotten me through 9 months of quarantine (other than my hubby), it is The Gathering. I was on the founder’s podcast to talk about my novel and I instantly knew that I’d met a kindred soul. This led me to join The Gathering - a community with writing workshops, meditation, moon gatherings, sacred maker happy hour, etc. It’s a group of women of all ages and across the country who are working in tandem to lift each other up."
